Head Gasket Set - Metal - Rover V8 - STC494 / DR290

For the die-hards that don't want to go composite on their head gaskets and valley pan gaskets.  This set containsthe old "tin" style gaskets, and the cork rocker box cover gaskets.  Includes valve stem oil seals, exhaust manifold gaskets, and a few misc. o-rings and gaskets (might not be needed for all applications).

Ensure that you have enough valve to piston clearance to use this head gasket, as it is thinner than the composite version.  Generally increases compression by about 0.6

Ideal for running a supercharger on your engine, provided the heads or pistons have been modified to allow a lower compression.

Generally only for race applications, although all early Rover V8s came this way ....
