This item is unique to RoverWare.

A pre-cut steel plate which fits directly in place of the standard Borg Warner shifter plate, using the original rivet hole locations (we suggest fitting with fat sheet metal screws -- not supplied -- although it can be riveted like the original).

This allows the direct mounting of two Land Rover D2 standard H-L shifter levers (the cable operated type used on all pre-2002 V8 models).  One of these then operates the H-L shift, and the other the lock-unlock for the center differential.  This allows cable operation which is far smoother than the 'normal' method of activating a LT230 transfer case using a D1 shift lever.  This method also provided a degree of isolation between the gearbox and the body where the plate is mounted, and allows a body lift without 'losing' the transfer case shift lever below the floor (or needing to extend it).

A modified actuator will need to be made or purchased at the transfer case end (where the cable means the lock-unlock 'nipple').  This part is also available from RoverWare Transfer Case Actuating Lever for LT230.

Comes with 8 screws for mounting the D2 levers, but obviously not the levers, cables, etc., which must be sourced elsewhere (usually from vehicles being parted out).
