Goodridge Steel Braided Brake Lines (hoses), 4” extended – 4-49004 – Range Rover Classic (US spec)
Description:
These steel braided lines are 4” longer than standard length, and are PTFE inner with braided stainless steel outer. This gives a firmer pedal and eliminates the spongy feel under heavy braking.
Made for us by Goodridge USA. Fully FMVSS 106 compliant and therefore legal for road use (many extended lines sold in the U.S. Are imported and do not meet this specification).
We believe these to be the highest quality available. Goodridge lines are used as OEM for many extreme performance vehicles and are used extensively in rally and race applications.
Any lift over about 2”, or any increased axle articulation will require the fitting of extended lines.
Original Land Rover brake hoses are made of rubber. Rubber perishes over time and can lead to a dangerous loss of braking.
We are always amazed at how many people change their radiator hoses and belts, due to aged or perished rubber, but never think of their brake lines!
Fits:
Range Rover Classic (U.S. Spec.) 1989-1992
Note: These have male to male lines for the front. Female to female are used on later RRCs and can be found here Goodridge Steel Braided Brake Lines (hoses), 4” extended – Custom – Range Rover Classic (US spec)

I have an 89 RRC, and had phoned around to the major suppliers to try to find a +4" line that would fit, and none carried the kit. This is the part that initially led me to Roverware. Great pricing as well.
The kit itself was excellent, exactly 4+ longer. The quality is great, as expected from a company that does OEM brake lines for some vehicles. It included 2 rear lines, and my vehicle is only fitted with one rear line. I carry it as a trail spare 'just in case'.
